In this game, we have 3 factions. Well, two factions, and a runt faction. In the main two (Nuia/Haranya) it is vastly protected and bountiful: Tons of land, Guards that can kill anyone -and not be killed-, and things to do. You know "Content worth having."Then there is the Pirate faction. The runt. Which -don't get me wrong- I love. I do not love a long list of very legitimate and profanely supported things about the faction. So here is a list of questions I have, for people to mull over, and have a very logical discussion/debate about. Also included for a limited time only. My Gripes!
#1. Why can other factions live on Growlgate?
Other than to be the troll of every Pirate's dreams. What purpose do they have on Growlgate? In one server I play on, a dysfunctional pirate veteran was so upset about the faction dying and abandoning him. He hoarded all of the land. Pirates can no longer live on the only "safe place' -roughly- that we have for us. It's Tahyang Server, for those that haven't figured it out. The person logs on to pay taxes, and plant a few items, only to let them wither, die, and disappear. Sure, we can live in Auroria, but we shouldn't have to. Sure we could live in a Faction Continent....not! We would be in jail every time we gathered our own roses.
#2 What's the point of the Growling and Tough Pirates?
The Pirate Guards, are terrible. You go to any Nuia/Haranya/Neutral -yeah...so neutral- Guard, and it's a few hit KO. I witnessed a man fight and kill not one, but TWO Pirate Guards today. At the same time! -He had a 2k Gear Score...- Taking almost no damage. That seems fair? I get about 50m from a Guard, and I'm paying 2 gold in repairs, and questioning my sexuality after that violent touching.
#3 Why are Pirates limited to the laws of the other two factions?
I believe Pirates left to be free and lawless. Yet, a Pirate has to wait to be attacked in most of Nuia/Haranya, before being able to attack. Please explain why I said "*$%^ the Law" but still abide by it unwillingly? Also, the argument of a Pirate farming lowbies in low-level areas, is for nothing. You want to create in-game content, and promote party/raid/guild recruiting? Then let lowbies be free game, and give end game/higher level players an incentive to protect the lowbie areas. Peace Zones are a joke. Creator, please uninstall.
#4 Pirates are being Punished? For?
No more than a year ago, there was a post about "Pirates being punished, for their crimes." Seeing as being Pirate is a punishment enough:
Can't world boss safely.
Can't whisper/party your old friends.
Constantly fighting two factions.
Prison all the time.
No real content. -Yeah thanks for making fishing, and intercontinental trade pack runs tedious, and not worth it. We have no one on the seas to Pirate!- Barely anyone goes underway to Freedich because the Gold Trader is gone most of the day. -Thank you for finally adding a fish trader to Growlgate.-
Nerfed Cannon Damage on gear, and title. -Seriously, just seriously? The one thing pirates are best at? Naval warfare, and Crewmanship..." Here's how the conversation/actions must have went:
Boss: "What should we do to the Pirate faction?"
Minions: -Blank stares and Pirate Cosplay attire-
Minion 1: "Argh, plushie pets!"
Minion 2: "Argh, kitty pirate pet!"
Minion 3: "Argh, up the cannon damage!"
-Coworkers throw Minion 3 out of the window-
-Do opposite-
Granted Pirates aren't even a real concern for Devs, because of how small the faction usually is. What exactly are you punishing? Pirates aren't pirates because we "****ed up!" Pirates chose to be pirates and did so mainly by slaughtering a friends donkey. Hell, some of us were born this way. ;3
#5 Stolen Goods are stolen...right?
Why do the people we stole from still get a percentage? We're Pirates. We hand that stuff in to some sketchy dude....and he has a conscience? No. We're pirates, were good at THEFT. We're wiping fingerprints, and scratching out names/serial numbers off to sell our stolen goods. Give us a break.
"Hey, are you Soenso? Yeah, that pirate feels you deserve 20% of the loot he stole. No hard feelins' yargh?"
Your thoughts? Your gripes?
I know some clown will Reply "QQ" because spinelessness, and never having dealt with it all. Just ignore, if you're going to be a troll.
