Today 4 castles on Aranzeb changed possession.
For weeks Disaster has been talking about our intention to take ****** Mafia's castle, why? because their leader Xenexprime is a smug jerk with a huge ego. In the days leading up to this siege, Xenex and Juddok were talking up their siege, a siege which took 86 minutes even though FC started without a built gatehouse and there was a clear path to both the lodestone and the gatehouse.
Rather than strategize about the best way to defend their castle, Xenex instead played a lame hide and seek game with the west faction, giving out blues clues and leaving breadcrumbs.
Disaster had plans within plans, diagrams, graphs and piecharts, intense discussion about what our strategy should be both regarding the siege itself and acquiring the scrolls..
The castles had huge bids for this siege period, infact, no castle went for less than 10k.
Marcala scroll was sold to Awakening for 26k
Nuimari scroll was sold to Sugoi for 10k
Calmlands was sold for 46k
Heedmar was sold for 56k.
I'd like to take this moment to remind you that Ghost Ships don't matter.
If that Heedmar bid seems familiar it is because it is the exact bid Stepdown had when we tried to siege what we thought would be a free castle in Heedmar almost a year ago.
Awakening and Disaster placed their siege scroll the day before the siege, Disaster placed it a couple times for effect. Sugoi placed their scroll hours before the siege and at this point, they and ****** Mafia started moving packs over to hastily build the Calmlands castle.
****** mafia spent that must have been about 1k gold building a castle they couldn't defend for no reason other than mad
Sugoi, who 3 weeks prior had Rei in Disaster Teamspeak begging Disaster officers to give them a scroll because 'they deserved it' and because 'It would be healthy for the server if Sugoi had a castle', decided to build the castle because they had the intention of defending it...
The Siege begins and Disaster runs up a hill to meet RM (who had probably 20 actual RM in their raid with the rest being made up of mercenaries from 903, Forgotten and other trash west guilds), 10 of whom get run over immediately and the others are seen running away hiding behind the side of their castle, Disaster summons at least 40 tanks and siege tower drives up to the walls and we deploy melee dudes other the edge, killing and knocking the West collective off of the walls, helpless RM tagged noobs are seen trapped within their castle while we butcher those who remain and wipe out the disorganized zerg below, it takes about 5 minutes to get the first wall down.
The gatehouse goes down without much changing, the walls of the castle must have been lined with ice because most of the RM were negated by the structure of their own castle by this point, it wasn't until the gatehouse fell that RM was finally released and allowed to be farmed by Disaster 2 feet from their spawn, the lodestone went down and RM was switched to the attackers spawn, they didn't even make it inside of the castle again before the lodestone was finished channeling and Heedmar was claimed. Despite what Xenexprime and RM would have you believe, this was the first truly legitimate siege in Aranzeb history, prior to this, FC had sieged a ghost town in Calmlands and RM had sieged a debilitated FC who didn't even bother to build their castle, not only was the siege legitimate, but it might have been taken in record time, it might have been the fastest siege in NA.
Xenex showed his frustration after the Siege.
The reason our timing was important was because we still had one more castle left to take. Calmlands had been fully built by the time we got there and as soon as we zoned in we saw that 'Forestcrow' had 62 people defending it, their mirrors already lining the path up to the castle. 'Forestcrow' ofcourse was populated by all kinds of East trash, much of which had just got finished taking their castle in Nuimari.
I don't have to tell you how ironic it is that Sugoi members were defending Unji's castle, though i do find it ironic that the guild whose leader begged us not to interfere with their siege plans (and therefore got their scroll for dirt cheap) was now orchestrating a castle defense against us.
Calmlands itself looked like a labyrinth and during the siege it played out like one. Random walls werent connected by towers and therefore you could walk right in between them only to find random reds waiting there who you would have to do battle with, it was like a dungeon crawling rpg, except instead of demons and goblins you had to fight poorly geared east shitters who finally had endgame aspirations now that their Overlord Unji was finally gone.
Disaster tanks blew up half the base before we were finally able to advance into position to shoot the gatehouse between a crack in the wall, the fighting was messy, the discordant design of the walls made wall pvp a nightmare, although being knocked off didn't put you in a pit like it did against RM, the ground might as well have been lava to the eastern faction.
The Lodestone was captured after about 40 minutes of fighting at calmlands, all and and it took little more than an hour to win two sieges against a large portion of both the West and the East.
Next ofcourse, we decided to destroy all of the property around both castles, taking particular gratification from destroying Xenexprime's house, which featured a picture of him with his lord's shit on being bowed to by his guild.
It was a good day for Disaster and probably most of the server, we definitely felt like we knocked Xenexprime down a few pegs and justified our attitude, We discovered that Sugoi are a bunch of snakes and we may have plans to take their newly acquired castle from them shortly for no reason other than because 'we deserve it'.
We had fun showing this server who's boss today, we had so much fun sieging, its too bad FC never got to experience taking a castle from their enemies in a legitimate siege like we did, oh well, have fun in BNS, for everyone who remains on Aranzeb, it hope this serves as a reminder as to who the biggest and baddest dog is on the server, we simply won't be satisfied until all of our enemies are restricted to mirage island.
