Fell through world and, of course, died

I fell through the world and died. No problem except I was carrying a pack of stone riding my donkey. Saw the pack above me before I zoned to the Nui priestess. This happened in Tigerspine Mountians, just east of Tigers Eye. There is a little path that peters out just before a rise, I fell through the world just after I topped that rise. Beyond that is a meadow/field then a cliff overlooking the junk yard. I didn't get that far.

Since what happened is not a normal thing and I was not bushwhacked, is there any way I can get my pack of stone back?
