So with the Hero Period coming to an end and the second Exodus is about to begin I would like to give a small post for those still unsure if Shatigon is the "Brighter tomorrow".
I was part of what we like to call "The First Exodus".
Me together with many guild-leaders and officers of top ranked guilds had meeting before the transfers opened up. On these meeting we tried to agree upon going to one server and duke it out and find a better future for ArcheAge.
We came up with Shatigon due to many guilds already decided to go there and that it is the server with the highest population.
So what happened?
The first Exodus started right after last months Hero Election.
Many Guilds went to Shatigon to seek new challenges and Glory. Among these are famous guilds such as Chosen, Reborn, Aesir, Pirate Bay, Former The Dream now called Reprise and many other smaller guilds and individual players.
We took the first step, we went without looking back and on Shatigon we build our future.
So what can I tell you after being here for one month?
First off, probably what everyone is wondering.
"Is it really the greener on the other side?"
- Simple: Yes, it Is.
But, No, it is not the paradise on Earth and the dream world we many including myself try to make it look like. On the other hand, it is still damn much better then where I came from, and for me that is what matters.
"Why is it greener on Shatigon?"
- Mainly because it is the last hope for the way ArcheAge is supposed to be played, with a massive amount of people co-operating and fighting for their interest.
Yet again, No we dont sit around singing kombaya about how great our days are but neither are we regretting the choice we took by coming here.
Personally what I love about this server is the fact that as a guildleader I have the option to make a raid at primetime and go out and find other players to fight.
We all suffer great from the Fu**ed up Event times we have at the moment and here is why a more populated server matters alot. I can actually set up Guild raids and we can go out and have an entertaining evening even if there are no events.
I can take my group to the Pirate Island to bash some pirates for some action, I can take my group to a DGS where I know I will find people to fight, I can take my group to Anthalon/Kraken/Dragon and I know it wount be a boring PvE sessions as there will be people to fight.
I dont need to go into the events, Abyssal and MM and such since everyone already know these are majorly croweded and you know it will be fun.
For me this is the only thing that really matters. Knowing there are other players to be seen.
This is something I did not have on my old server which was Eanna (3'rd most populated server)
On my old server we ran the same circles, farmed the same bosses, occasionally fought the same old.
Meh... Same old boring stuffs we all done for far to long.
We all know ArcheAge have a though time now seeing as we get no new major content until 2.9, we have BDO and other games that takes alot of players and guilds away and the awful Event timers we are currently suffering from.
We keep enjoying ArcheAge becuase of the people around us and the content they provide.
If there are no people around us we migh aswell just all call it a day and move on.
So sincerly, take my advice here and Transfer to Shatigon before you see yourself turn into a Ghost on the Ghost-town you currently are playing on.
