This broken system of Kraken server's Heroes has really gotten to me. First off, I'm not making this post because I feel like I deserve Hero, I'm making it because the Heroes who are elected should deserve it. It's a popularity contest. I won't mention who, but a lot of these people I see lack the qualities I think are necessary to be Hero. The voters need to realize that we need Heroes who:
-PvP (mainly leading anything PvP-wise)
-Help others and go out of their way
-Keep the faction strong and resolve problems
-Create new and exciting ideas that deviant away from the same boring repetitive nonsense
The fact some of these Heroes hop into something like Mistmerrow, grab leadership quest, leave for thirty minutes, and come back just in time for the timer to end so they can get that 10 leadership -- like what the hell is this person doing as a Hero? Some of them aren't even seen period. "Oh this person does (insert here) at nighttime while everyone is asleep." Let me just call those people out because I DO stay up at night and those people are nowhere to be found.
Fact of the matter is, there is only a few Heroes on that list who deserve it. The others are people who have done things in the past and are just along for the ride now, thumbs/voted by their guild members (since they are guild leader), or have mass amounts of alt accounts voting for them. I will admit, I ask for thumbs/votes, but I don't do it to 30+ people in a single guild that I know will listen to me. I request it from my dearest friends, I don't force them to.
Give the 10K gold and toughness lunascale to someone who's going to utilize it. The West is a lot more geared than the East, yet we are capable of defeating them. Someone who actually knows what the hell they're doing needs to be in that role-model position so that people listen to them. The better, more qualified Heroes we have, the better off the East will be.
