WANTED: Dedicated Western PvPers to Fight Slayers! Current Guild DOES NOT Matter.

Hello everybody! It's me, your friendly neighborhood Snap! I'm here to inform other westerners our current situation, and also to start determining who (SPECIFICALLY) is a dedicated PvPer willing to help for the good of the faction. I've yet to have an excuse for posting here on the forums, but if it in any way helps accomplish my goal then it's worth giving it a shot. Please note, I am going to say this RIGHT NOW in order to reduce further drama... I am NOT lashing out or singling out any specific guild or person. Also, this is from MY perspective.. if the information is a bit off especially about the past, don't fret because it really doesn't matter anymore. So lets start!

For those that don't already know me, I'm currently a <High Tide> PvP officer that usually can be found on the high seas or somewhere east killing reds. I started the game with following orders in a couple different guilds; I've always loved mass scale PvP and the mechanics that go into them. Somewhere along the line I inadvertently became a person people looked towards for leadership on the battlefield; whether it be land or out at sea. I've led some good naval battles at Le Kraken and during Delph Ship contesting. I'm here to lay down the current situation The West is in, and the consequences that will come if things aren't changed. I'm here to speak to EVERYONE and EVERY guild representing the west side, even if you currently don't use our combined Teamspeak with Provocation and such. All your opinions matter.

History: Slayers and their Impressive Grip on Salphira:
(Skip to next section if you know what happened)
If you have been under a shell for the past couple of months on this server, let me briefly summarize. Slayers are THE force of concern on the server. During early developments of guilds after the official launch of the game, big guilds emerged on both sides. Due to the MASSIVE amounts of drama on this server many guilds, especially in the west, were broken and reformed more times than I could honestly keep track of. In my opinion it was the initial fall of Phoenix Brigades (mostly English) castle that was acquired with the help of the initial BR guilds such as Rising ON, SSGT, and Lunaticos. Guilds here and there came and went, but overall there were two main PvP oriented guilds; We Few and Provocation. If my memory is correct, after the whole We Few debacle (Sorry we few guys, but it was a debacle in a general sense of everyone reaction) <asl> started becoming less troll-like and started to focus their efforts on PvP. Provocation slowly started to terminate their "Green-Pirate" agenda in order to help in the fight as well. BUT during this entire drama induced guild shifting, Slayers were strengthening their core and continued to grow its member base. They had the numbers to farm world bosses for great gear that was given to core members or sold for guild funding. Asl's core members were bribed into leaving the server fueled by their opinion that nobody was helping us with Slayers. We reformed, <High Tide> became a thing.

Where we are now!
Currently the fight against slayers is spearheaded by We Few (the pirate faction) who has been recruiting members from both factions that are tired of Slayers basically "owning" all the world bosses and events. <High Tide> had to patch the holes left behind by Shawn, Iansky, and all those other cool dudes. We increased our member base, and Provo did as well. Sin is still a great force to watch fight slayers, but they are more of an isolated group of pvpers. When I go through channels in our TS to find numbers to go stop slayers from doing something I have slowly been noticing the same people willing to always help and people that never come. I understand people have other interests in the game, and some of you (Jempire) have been increasing the amount of people that are willing to come out. However, due to how spread out the PvPers are across the faction it honestly an ordeal to get together a raid in a reasonably quick manner. Slayers are continually getting massive amounts of gold income, despite the efforts put in and the small portion of gold obtained. We HAVE been doing a good job reforming a complete disorganized faction. Props to everyone that stepped up, and props to We Few for handling Slayers right now (with some of our help) while we get our shit together. Sadly, this is currently NOT enough. We need a solution, and many have been thrown around, but since many of you know me I thought I could throw mine into the mix.

MY SOLUTION: UNITY! WHY and HOW

Please hear me out, because I have been thinking of this for a good amount of time now. Unity. "But Snap this has been tried before and it failed!", thanks generic observational player. You aren't wrong, it HAS been tried before and it HAS been rejected by most of the faction; sorry guys but We Few I'm using you as an example right now. My plan is entirely different because I am taking into account the other options on the table, and most peoples concerns with the process; but like I stated above, please hear me out. I am looking for all of you PvPers left on the west side that are actually dedicated to stop slayers. When this was tried before, as well as suggested after ASL left, there are many reasons people didn't want to do it. Here are a couple...

1. Guild Pride: Every leader wants the other guild to merge into theirs. You have been with these guys for a while, and you are not going to just leave your family and guild to be absorbed by another guild that you "Dont like who's leading, or don't like the PvErs"! What if other members don't want to come, what happens to them?
- As for what guild would merge into what guild, this will NOT be the case. A temporary guild will be created in order to combine all available PvPers that truly want to stop slayers. We will remain in there for a good bit until the tide of war has been turned, after which you can return to your original guild with stories and loot acquired in the war. Why? One neutral tag voted on by all participants leaves guild pride intact, it will be easier for us officers to speak in guild chat (as well as members experiencing a problem) and create a raid using the mass guild invite feature resulting in a much faster response. Those that don't want to come or don't like PvPing can stay in their already constructed guild for now while we try to turn the tide of war.
-Also, concerning officer and leader positions.... Depending on the size of this temporary pvp guild, I would like to see 1 or 2 selected members from each guild joining to be officers in order to quickly smooth the initial mingling process as well as combining/deciding on strategies we will use out in the war.
2.) Well if we are in the same guild, how will we talk to our old friends?
-Currently for those of you that don't know, we have a faction teamspeak that many guilds use. I (not deciding on who is the "leader" yet) will not require constant participation in our new teamspeak channel, until an event or battle is going down, so you can still be in your guild's channel to talk and help out your guild. As stated above, by fighting under one tag it will be WAY more effective when trying to get a quick response. You can also still remain in your families in order to conduct your family gold making secrets or whatever.
3.) Why not go pirate? They already have the biggest group fighting slayers!
-Well, good question hypothetical guy! I have been talking about that to a lot of the current PvPers I work with and almost ALL of them are not considering this as an option. If we put the "joining pirate faction stigma" aside, many of the people I've talked to still have FACTION pride; and if you are reading this maybe you do to. The amount of people we could temporarily bring to the pirate side is not near the number we could gather here in the west.

SUMMARY, "Signup" Requirements, and If/When Will This Occur?
First let me say that I'm saying "I" right now because I have yet to speak to other guild leaders and officers that would be willing to help or allow their members to temporarily leave. I plan on doing so tomorrow, I just decided to get this out there before I pass out in bed. Overall I won't be having that extreme expectations or elite requirements. This will not be as strict as INC, but hopefully the raid structure/discipline they had, rather just a group of good pvpers wanting to put pressure back on slayers. So, just a couple simple requirements for those who are interested.

1. You like to PvP! You have been in some battles before, you know how to follow and listen to orders on TS, and above all you want to spill some Slayer blood.
2. Lets Stop the Drama: Leave the Past Where it Belongs
- With so much damn drama on this server, the main reason working together has been hard currently is because of issues that happened between people in the past and the drama they continue to carry with them. You might be working with somebody you had a little "tiff" with some time ago, but i'm asking you for the sake of the damn faction to drop it for now in order to work together more efficiently.
3. Gear Score? Eh... Skill? YES. Required Classes?
- For people wanting to join, I am not asking for a certain gear score (although if you are already interested in mass PvP and fights with slayers, i'm assuming you AT LEAST have 3k+). I am however asking for skill, and some experience. That means, no clippers de-spawning into our galleons during a naval battle.
-Gear? I'm hoping that you AT LEAST have a unique buff and a decent weapon set giving you whatever class attack (ranged, magic, melee) or healing power at least 500 unbuffed. If its close, you can still get in as long as you are dedicated here.
-Class requirements won't be a restriction in order for you to get in. Not gonna lie, It would be rough if the guild was mostly archers haha. I REALLY am looking for good initiators and healers, so if you are one please consider. I also might ask you to start using a specific skill relative to your class, or give you tips/advice where you should be on the battlefield. But I WILL NOT be forcing anything on anyone
.

If/When will this happen, and how long will it take

If: In order for this to happen, I will need support from ALL guild leaders/officers that are okay with allowing members to temporarily leave for the good of the faction in a war we are currently loosing. I am hoping to take care of this tomorrow. I also need to have a DECENT amount of people interested in this idea, because this won't work without the proper numbers. For now, if you are interested, to reduce the possibility of even MORE drama I WILL NOT GIVE OUT NAMES OF THOSE INTERESTED! It is mainly to get an idea who actually gives a damn. You can mail me in game: Thesnap, just add 1 copper so I don't accidentally delete it; I will start making a spread sheet tomorrow.

When: Once the main leaders are informed, and "green light" their guilds that are in to participate, you can decide who want to represent your guild as an officer. We can begin to figure out guild structure, number of galleons (and whats on them) as well as tanks. This SHOULD take less than a couple of days, but then again this is Salphira.

Time to drop the drama, swallow your pride, unite, and kill some slayers
Interested? Mail me in game (Thesnap) so I can estimate numbers
Thank You All!
