A warning to any healers or anyone that uses macros...

My account was banned this morning because according to Trion, a macro (like that which many healers use to spam songcraft) tied to my gaming mouse is viewed as automation, a bot, and thus is justified to be banned.

Not talking about the bots we have all seen running around, killing and looting in the same place, or the ones in the mines. Nope, playing the defense buff, heal buff and healing from songcraft.

Here's a quote:

"Please be advised, you may not use any type of software that might automate movements, actions, or keystrokes. "

So, if you have a macro of shift+1, technically that is automating a keystroke, but they won't go there.

My other character had sorcery, and I guess because I use, excuse me, used ice arrow and firebolt a lot, I am a bot. Nevermind I was clicking the buttons, I must be a bot.

With no warning, my account was locked. I have spent most of the morning asking for clarification, but all they say is in the logs they feel justified.

Trying to get a clarification as to how a hauler train of multiple alts is not considered automation, as nobody is driving them.

So, be warned. I'm out of here, potentially for better managed games.
