Why archery doesn't do damage

This assumes the order of mitigation is defense, toughness, percent, then flat. Assumes crit and combo are applied before reductions. I used comparable gear for each to get the numbers.

Things I learned:

Percent damage reduction is very strong.
Archery has terrible combos for damage.

Something to keep in mind when looking at the graphs: Make sure you think about how the skills work (Instant-cast, AOE, no-cooldown, etc.). God's Whip is spammable, precision strike also increases crit damage, which is not calculated here, etc., Sorcery also uses Occultism and Auramancy (Implosion) for damage and Battlerage gets much more from Shadowplay than Archery does. Archery includes Toxic Shot from the Shadowplay tree and archery multipliers apply to the skill.

The real problem with archery is lack of combos that CC the target and increase damage. Increased mitigation stats hit archery skills the hardest.
