Major issue trying to get in game

I hit the play button and the little window comes up (first colorful window after hitting the play button) but it doesn't do anything and when I try to do ANYTHING it takes my computer 2-3 minutes. Even trying to open the task manager. Even after I close out the program it still kills my computer and nothing works right until I reboot where everything is normal UNTIL I run the game again.

This was NOT an issue before just started today.
