ArchePass FeedBack For Gamigo pls one community manager read this I worked really hard on it

First, I would like thank Gamigo for bring the business model of Arche Pass to this game. Unlike games like Fortnight, I think this business model fits a mmorpg because you still play the game the same way while completing the pass. While in fortnight you spawn, complete the task, then kill yourself and no longer focus on winning the match. But we are here to discuss the mains reason why I personal don’t think the pass will generate the money that the company is looking for and how we can fix that with tools that are and are not already in place in the ArcheAge system.

Major points that stop the generation of money
• Lack of visual customization
• Lack of Theme (This could only be a problem because it’s a test server)
• Forced Warfare
• Story Telling (not in AA system)

Lack of visual customization
So, when I first got the premium Arche pass on the PTS I see this pink maids outfit in the first tier and mind goes I have seen that before. So, the first problem we are looking at is that the Arche Pass should only contain new exclusive cosmetics. The exclusiveness lets a player know its worth grinding for because it won’t appear in the shop later.
Next let’s talk about the drawbacks of selling full body costumes. In a game like ArcheAge where you mainly keep one character a person is only going to buy 2 or 3 costumes for their character. The Arche Pass is using cosmetics as its selling point. For this scenario, now that I have seen the pink maid outfit and don’t like it. Now I’m opting out of buying the arche pass. In games closer to World of Warcraft, ESO, and GW2 where people are getting multiple alts to end game content full body costumes work fine. Then as a company you can expect for a player to buy 2 or 3 costumes per alt.
Now let’s talk about how we can turn this player that doesn’t like the pink maid outfit into a conversion. The answer is already baked into the ArcheAge system and the answer is called Item Fusion. Different tiers in the Arche Pass should contain different image items, and when you complete the pass you finally have the full set. Now that person that didn’t like the full pink maids outfit might want the gloves or the boots, and now they are buying the Arche pass cause those gloves will not be coming out again. This also creates a more rewarding feeling to players that want the full set by grinding out the full Arche pass.
Mixing and matching pieces is the key to cosmetics. People don’t call GW2 fashion wars 2 for nothing, World of Warcraft didn’t create trial of style for nothing. Most people that play retail farm mounts and transmog runs every week. Selling fusion alembic and having it in Arche Pass tiers to space out rewards should be more of a priority.

Lack of theme (This could only be a problem because it’s a test server)
So, the Arche Pass comes out, and there is not a single picture of characters together sporting the in-game goods in the pass? Must not be a good buy right? The items in the Arche Pass are just thrown together. Let me paint you a picture for the Arche Pass in a Halloween theme even though all Arche Pass seasons shouldn’t just be holiday seasons. Imagine cool announcer voice. In your first pass we have the Headless horseman set climb the tiers to unlock all the pieces, choose between the jacko lantern head and the spectral ghost hood, as you quest to unlock all the forbidden weapons the Death scythe, jacko shield, squash hammer, etc. In your second pass, no horseman is complete without there trusty Dreadstead, unlock its mount armor and trample your foes in combat. In the third pass, after a full day’s work the headless horseman returns to sleepy Hollow (castle with garden and house decorations). Then Boom the picture of everything coming together. Even though, I wrote this pretty cheesy I do believe each season of the Arche pass should have an advertisement page with descriptions and in game pictures.

Forced Warfare
So, I re rolled a couple of combat quest from the Arche pass and its was kill mob quest in random areas. I personally didn’t like the fact that It went to random areas. In the late game people are spread everywhere doing things when its not events and world boss timers from what I have been told. I think that it would be a good idea at least for the combat Arche pass to force players in certain areas to create conflict, if people complain that their side is losing and it takes longer for them to grind we can just tell them there is always peace time, and you can work on your vocation arche pass while you wait for peace time.

Story Telling (not in AA system)
This might not be a great idea as I try to understand the demographic of the player base, but I believe the player base right now consist of wolfs (pvp-ers) and collectors (owns a bunch of stuff in house), but where are the sheep (pve-ers)? I have read the level 30 stories for both the dwarfs and elfs they weren’t bad. I think we could use the Arche pass to top off everything that has been mentioned with a little in-game story like a ESO chapter, but I could be excluding to much of the current demographic to reach for a new demographic if this change requires too much development time.

In closing, I would like to thank Gamigo for really removing P2W from this game, and I hope this info is helpful, because I believe I am the target demographic for the monetization model they are trying to run.

Keep getting error 1005 when dling on hard drive

Is there any way to download this game on another drive beside my C drive? I don't want it on the C drive since it's a very small drive and this game will take up half the space on it. Not to mention I don't even have room on the c drive to download the game. I tried making a new folder on the hard drive and that did not work. I played the original ArcheAge with no issues when it came out. I don't see why this would be any different now. I wasted 4 hrs trying to download this game and it keeps giving me this error code. I googled everything and even went into the discord. I get no help whatsoever on this issue. Can someone advise me in steps so I can resolve this. If there is no fix and I have to put it on my C drive. Then that just sucks because wasted money on this game. No other game forces you to have it on the C drive.

Also when is the steam release coming up? Might just have him buy that instead.

And here we go again,
3th time I try to AA during a fresh start and unable to login/play due to the queues.

Now don't tell me that they didn't knew about a massive amount of players playing first weeks, and instead adding more servers or improve their login servers, we are at the same usual problem that never get solved.

I give them a week max, if queues time is not decreased, I will refund like the previous times, because I can't spend more time in the queues than playing.

Mine is not negativity or hate for Trion, is purely reality on what is happening.

How long is the grace period?

During the last streams Khrolan was talking about the grace period (saving your slot in the game when you have a DC or something similar).
I was in the game (not in queue anymore) and my PC just crashed. I logged back in ASAP and I am in the queue again (#5300).

So do we even have a grace period or is it extremely short?

Siege & Territory Revamp Siege As previously announced, Player Nations have been discontinued. The new siege and territory systems focus on the Nuia and Haranya Alliance as a faction and empowers the Pirates to participate for their own gain. Every Wednesday, one of the four available territories is up for siege: Nuimari, Marcala, Heedmar or Calmlands. Exeloch and Sungold Fields will not be available for claim. Only the Nuia or Haranya Alliance can claim either of those territories, but Pirates can participate in this clash of mother factions and gain some gold in the process. Players can check the siege schedule in the updated siege UI, which can be found under Community (Shift+V) > Faction > Siege Info. Siege Commander: An important new task is given to the heroes of each faction. Every Wednesday from 12pm to 8pm, the heroes of each faction can apply to become the Siege Commander for the upcoming siege. At 8pm, the highest-ranking hero, who is currently online and has applied for the position will be appointed the role of Siege Commander. Once appointed, the Commander can select a fellow faction member to become their Supporting Commander. Both the Siege Commander and Supporting Commander can recruit members of the faction for their Siege Squad. The Siege Squad supports up to 50 players and cannot be abandoned until the siege is over. Should no hero apply to become a Siege Commander, then the siege is automatically considered lost for that faction, regardless if the faction is attacking or defending a territory. Raid Recruitment: Players can join the Siege Squad by either applying via the Raid Recruitment window or by getting invited by the Siege Commander or Supporting Commander. Should the Commanders fail to assemble a full Siege Squad, then any players can join the siege on a first come, first serve basis, until the Squad has reached its limit of 50 participants. While in the Siege Squad, players cannot turn on Bloodlust or join other raids. Mirage cannot be entered and attempting to enter instances will consume a daily entry. Base Setup: When the Siege Squad is formed, the Siege Commander must travel to the territory and interact with a Blood Archeum Crystal located at either end of the small roads leading away from the Archeum Lodestone. Interacting with the Blood Archeum Crystal will confirm the faction’s participation in the siege and install the Siege Camp. If the Siege Commander fails to interact with the Blood Archeum Crystal before 9pm, then the faction will automatically loose the siege and the Siege Squad is disbanded. Goal – Defenders: The Defending Faction must prevent the Sieging Faction from destroying their Archeum Lodestone. Should the Sieging Faction fail to destroy the Archeum Lodestone, then the Defending Faction wins the siege. Should the Sieging Faction manage to destroy the Archeum Lodestone, then the Lodestone will shatter into multiple Lodestone Orbs, that spawn in the designated siege area. Now the focus of the Defending Faction shifts to preventing the Sieging Faction from purifying enough Lodestone Orbs, before they reach 100%. This is also when Pirates come into play, who can destroy the Lodestone Orbs to make some good money. The Defending Faction must therefore also prevent the Pirates from destroying Lodestone Orbs, before they reach 100%. Goal – Attackers: The Sieging Faction must first invade the center of the designated area which may or may not be heavily armed with cannons and defended by thick walls. Once the Sieging Faction manages to make its way to the Archeum Lodestone, said Lodestone must be destroyed. As soon as the Lodestone is destroyed, Lodestone Orbs will spawn in the designated siege area and the heroes of the faction must race to purify enough Orbs to reach 100% before time runs out. But beware: This is also when Pirates can show up and destroy the Lodestone Orbs for their own gains. Goal – Pirates: Though Pirates cannot claim territories for their faction, they can still benefit from Nuia and Haranya going at each other during a siege. Once the Sieging Faction manages to destroy the Archeum Lodestone, Lodestone Orbs will spawn in the designated siege area. Heroes of the Pirate faction can destroy these Orbs to grab a Lodestone Shard tradepack. These packs fetch a nice price with the Relic Merchant on Freedich Isle. Siege Rewards – Victory:
  • Siege Commander: 70 Blue Salt Bonds, 10.000 Honor Points, 200 Leadership
  • Heroes: 50 Blue Salt Bonds, 10.000 Honor Points, 100 Leadership
  • Squad Members: 20 Blue Salt Bonds, 10.000 Honor Points, 50 Leadership
Siege Rewards – Defeat:
  • All Participants: 10 Blue Salt Bonds, 8.000 Honor Points, 30 Leadership
Territory Once a territory is claimed by a faction, the Territory Steward located at the Archeum Lodestone will guide the heroes of the faction through the basics. The following buildings can be built in a claimed territory: Guardian Altar The first building the Territory Steward will ask the heroes to install, is the Guardian Altar. The design can be purchased with the Steward for 5 Blue Salt Bonds and placed in front of the large, square, stone surface right there. The construction of this building requires 10 Basic Construction Materials, which can be purchased for 1 Blue Salt Bond each, at the Territory Construction Workbench, down at the shore. Any faction members can contribute to building the Guardian Altar. Once the Guardian Altar is built, several amenities will be spawned:
  • Faction War Flag: Allows members of the faction to receive the buff “Amarenda IV’s Blessing” or “Andrion II’s Blessing”. Allows heroes to use Mobilization Orders.
  • Territory Oasis: Can be activated using 5 Smoldering Log Bundles or Auroria Mineral Water Packs. Once activated, allows members of the faction to restore additional 3 labor every 5mins, when wearing a Territory Bathing Suit near the Territory Oasis.
  • Personal Depot: Grants access to both a player’s personal warehouse and mailbox.
  • Wyvern Stand: Allows heroes to spawn a Wyvern for 6 hours, using 1 Territory Coin.
  • Multipurpose Workbench: Provides a crafting station for a wide range of recipes.
  • Cannon Distribution Center: Can be built using 10 Blue Salt Bonds and grants up to 10 temporary Stationary Cannon Foundations, which can be placed around the territory to temporarily install Siege Cannons, Flame Cannons or Frost Cannons.
Territory Outpost The Territory Outpost costs 2 Blue Salt Bonds to purchase and 10 Basic Constriction Materials to build. Once built, the Outpost Manager will offer all members of the faction a daily quest, which allows them to earn 100 Honor Points, 15 Territory Contribution, 5 Radiant Hiram Infusions, 50 Territory Pence and 1 Territory Resource Coin. The Outpost furthermore offers hero a place to craft Purification Packs, needed to cleanse the Purification Area in each territory. Territory Farmhouse The Territory Farmhouse costs 2 Blue Salt Bonds to purchase and 10 Basic Construction Materials to build. Once built, the Farm Manager will offer all members of the faction a daily quest, which allows them to earn 15 Territory Contribution, 50 Territory Pence and 1 Territory Resource Coin. Heroes can also obtain a Prosperous Pack from the Resource Specialist once every hour, which allows them to activate the Resource Flag in the designated area. When the Resource Flag is activated, Auroria Veins will spawn nearby, allowing faction members to mine ore. Territory Workshop The Territory Workshop costs 5 Blue Salt Bonds to purchase and 20 Basic Constriction Materials to build. Once built, the Workshop Manager will offer all member of the faction a daily quest, which allows them to earn 30 Territory Contribution and 100 Territory Pence. The Workshop Manager is also where players can go to identify their ore mined at Auroria Veins or ask for assistance, should they luck out while mining and find an Auroria Ore Pack. The building also comes with a Resource Workbench, that allows members of the faction to craft their Territory Resource Coins into Territory Supplies, and a Workbench that allows to craft a variety of items, including a costume exclusive to heroes or a Small Wyvern mount. Territory Warehouse The Territory Warehouse costs 5 Blue Salt Bonds to purchase and 20 Basic Construction Materials to build. Once the Warehouse is built members of the faction can turn in their crafted Territory Supplies from the Workshop, to complete their daily quest and help stock the Warehouse. If enough Supplies are stored, a Transport Manager will show up on Wednesdays from 3pm to 8pm and allow heroes to begin a Territory Transport. This Manager will also offer a daily quest for all members of the faction, which allows them to earn 500 Honor Points, 20 Territory Contribution and 2 Territory Coins. During this transport, members of the faction must deliver the Supplies stored in the Warehouse to the Transport Manager at the shore but beware of thieves! Territory Supplies can be stolen and salvaged with a Salvaging Tool to obtain Onyx Archeum Essence. Should not all Supplies be delivered when the time runs out, then the remainder of Supplies in the Warehouse will be destroyed. Successfully delivering Supplies to the Transport Manager increases the Territory Income. Other Territory Buildings Other Territory Buildings, also available at the Territory Steward:
  • Territory Tower – 1 Blue Salt Bond, 3 Basic Constriction Materials
  • Territory Wall – 2 Blue Salt Bonds, 5 Basic Constriction Materials
  • Territory Defense Tower – 2 Blue Salt Bonds, 4 Basic Constriction Materials
  • Territory Gatehouse – 2 Blue Salt Bonds, 6 Basic Constriction Materials
  • Territory Wooden Rampart Stairs – 1 Blue Salt Bond, 3 Basic Constriction Materials
Territory Income & Contribution Each territory has a separate Territory Income, which is accumulated through various activities, such as the Supply Transport mentioned above. Each member of the faction has an individual Contribution pool which accumulates until the territory is up for siege again. On said day, the Territory Income is split between all members of the faction and rewarded based on each individual player’s Contribution, in comparison to the Total Contribution. The current Income and Contribution can be viewed under Community (Shift+V) > Faction > Auroria Territories. Purification Areas and Vyrava Each territory has a Purification Area that needs to be cleansed of the Aust Mana Tower spreading evil across the land. Once defeated, the Aust Mana Tower can be cleansed using a Purification Pack, which can be obtained at the Territory Outpost by a hero of the faction. As soon as the Purification Area is cleansed, members of the faction can also complete their daily quest from the Territory Outpost, hunting the monsters that now spawn there. Occasionally when killing mobs in this area, Vyrava can appear and stays for 15 mins before he disappears again. Vyrava has a chance to drop Design Fragments: Growling Yawl and Design Fragment: Singed Vehicle Naval Arena: Stillwater Gulf Prove that you have what it takes to be the deadliest captain of all in a fast-paced naval battle! Lured by the riches said to be found on the Greed Islands, unsuspecting sailors traveled the Stillwater Gulf to become famous and wealthy. Some met their fate when driving their ships into the deadly waterspouts, some crashed to die on a deserted island, but the most common cause of death was the blind greed of the other sailors. This new arena requires a minimum of 25 players but supports up to 50 participants, regardless of their faction, if they’re at least level 30. If you dare to enter this arena you will be provided with a Combat Clipper. Once you boarded the Clipper, you cannot abandon it until the bitter end. Explore the vast sea and defeat terrible monsters to find supplies, which then can be used to enhance your Clipper. Make sure to be close to Ezi’s Divine Protection when the wave of Greedy Shadows moves in. Each hostile faction player kill grants 2 Kyrios Badges and destroying an enemy clipper that has already been enhanced, grants their Supplies at a tier above their clipper’s current level. Participants in 1st-20th place will receive Kyrios Badges and Radiant Infusion Supply Kits as a reward. Participants that make it into places 21-50 receive only Kyrios Badges as a reward. Abyssal Library The Abyssal Library can now be accessed through the Instance UI. This instance is available all day and supports 3-5 participants, if they are at least level 55. The interaction buttons at the physical library in Diamond Shores, open the Cross-Server instance window. Daily quests for the Abyssal Library will be automatically granted, when players begin combat with the bosses. The Ayanad Disciple NPCs no longer offer the daily quests for the Abyssal Library. Before the fall of Auroria, the city of Ayanad had a library in the exact same location as the library in the city of Delphinad. Much of Ayanad was nearly identical to Delphinad, but didn’t obey the normal rules of nature and architecture. Unlike the library in Delphinad, the Ayanad Library also pursued the study of magic – even dangerous magic. It wasn’t uncommon to see strange lifeforms call forth from other dimensions roaming the grounds. Magical constructs performed most of the library’s maintenance, and magic shaped and tended the flourishing gardens. The following changes are made to the Abyssal Library:
  • Increased the duration of Denistrious's Staff
  • The staff lasts up to 60 seconds if the player is carrying it.
  • The charged Denistrious's Staff lasts for 30 seconds.

  • The item itself is not removed upon expiration.
  • The Great Ayanad Earring can be refreshed using Heart of Ayanad Manacore Liquid.
  • The Flawless Dream Ring can be refreshed using Delphinad Transcendent Stone Liquid.
Radiant Disciple’s Equipment The second tier of Abyssal Library Equipment, the Radiant Disciple's Equipment was added. It can be obtained by awakening Disciple's Equipment or Mistsong Summit Equipment.
  • Mythic Disciple's Equipment or Mythic T2 Mistsong Summit Equipment can be awakened using a Disciple's Awakening Scroll.
  • Disciple's Awakening Scrolls can be crafted at the Disciple’s Workbench and require 50 Abyssal Crystals, 10 Prismatic Diamonds, 10 Sunlight Archeum Essences and 10 Abyssal Heart of Ayanad Shards.
  • The equipment will be at grade Legendary once awakened.
  • The Radiant Disciple's Equipment has the same skill effects as the Disciple's Equipment, but with slightly better stats.
Abyssal Heart of Ayanad Shards:
  • Abyssal Heart of Ayanad Shards can be acquired from the Abyssal Heart of Ayanad Guardian. The boss no longer drops Abyssal Library Shards or Disciple's Weapons.
  • Adjusted the quest reward of "Defeat Heart of Ayanad Guardian" to Abyssal Heart of Ayanad Shards.
  • Abyssal Alexander now drops Abyssal Library Shards and has a small chance of dropping Disciple’s Weapons.
Cross-Server Raid: Kadum An unpleasant silence falls over Mistmerrow, right before Anthalon wakes Kadum from his slumber. As the ancient treant starts to spread his seeds of darkness, Anthalon whispers “This is the beginning of the end! Enjoy this celebration of death!” With the removal of the Mistmerrow zone, Kadum has been moved an instance. This cross-server raid can support up to 50 participants with a required level of at least 55, regardless of their faction. Your gear score needs to be at least 6000 points. New Labor System Labor will be separated into two categories: Server Labor and Account Labor. As the names indicate, Server Labor is shared across all characters on the same server, while Account Labor is shared across all characters on the same account. Server Labor will always be consumed before Account Labor. Account Labor can be restored via the online/offline labor restoration. Server Labor can be restored using Labor Rechargers. These new items work like Labor Potions and restore a certain amount of Labor, but the amount they restore can vary based on the player’s Restoration Rate. The Restoration Rate can be High, Normal or Low, and changes based on the amount of Labor Recharges used, over a certain time period. In short: The more Labor Rechargers you use in a short time, the lower the amount of labor you get. Furthermore, Labor Rechargers only restore Server Labor. They cannot be used to restore Account Labor. With this change, Labor Potions will also be discontinued. Any leftover Labor Potions can still be used and will restore Account Labor. Crime System Revamp Prisoners can only use the local chat. Prisons allow visitors from 9:00 to 15:00 in-game time. Visitor mailboxes are available, and prisoners have access to their mail as well. People that accidentally fall into a prison, when gliding over the area for example, now have a way to escape. Once a prisoner’s Infamy reaches 0, they can talk to a prison guard to be released. Prisoner’s clothes grant 3-set effects: Decreases the time required to complete prison work –40%. Decreases the time required to sleep in order to clear the Tiredness debuff –40%. Prisoners can invest labor to reduce their prison time and infamy: - Kill rats: Spend 50 Labor to reduce Prison Time –3mins, Infamy Points –1 and increase Tiredness +2. - Clear trash: Spend 150 Labor to reduce Prison Time –15mins, Infamy Points –8 and increase Tiredness +8. - Shovel dirt: Spend 500 Labor to reduce Prison Time –60mins, Infamy Points –40 and increase Tiredness +30. Once 100 stacks of Tiredness are accumulated, the prisoner must take a break from completing prison work. Sleeping on the hay in a prison cell clears the debuff. Changes to prison escape: If a player escapes from prison, the “Prisoner” debuff is removed and most restrictions are lifted. Instead, the debuff “On the Run” is triggered. Players with the “On the Run” debuff cannot open worldgates or enter instances but can use worldgates opened by other players. When the “On the Run” debuff is triggered, Infamy Points and Crime Points will be equalized. Most players with the “On the Run” debuff will end up “Wanted”. Escaping the prison is now more difficult. Previous tools used to escape prison won’t work anymore. Graphical Improvements Improved the graphics by the docks in Diamond Shores. Added environmental effects to Gweonid Forest.
