Not sure which thread this post would fit into.
I'm a new player. Started in Tahyang NA and stopped not too long after and returned recently. I have leveled up and reached my early 30s. Been playing solo, met someone pretty cool early on but it seems he has abandoned character and not been on since. Still playing solo after returning.
I seem to meet people and am in what I consider a very unsocial server. Most times, the faction is on about what seems like trivial and complete garbage, like someone asking faction chat if he should quit his job and that his fate is in the hands of the faction. This I consider complete garbage and watching the faction, is like reading conversations amongst children.
Anyways, I'm there going about my own doing quests, crafting and whatnot, I see a couple of what I think are mobs, outside the palace cellars and there were reds and two of them. Keep in mind, I'm a new player, so first time seeing reds just wandering around and completely unsure if they can attack back and they were well into level 50s. Confused, I back away and they disappeared into the dungeons, few mins later, I see another on a mount and this time, I type in faction chat, which I never used till now. I mentioned it, and was completely ignored. Kids just carried on the above trivial topics.
I came across another red running around housing provinces in lutesong harbor shortly after, this time I was like, hopeless mentioning this on faction, so I was close to someone and asked him but apparently was afk. I went off to look for the red and see what I'm capable of and this person mentions in faction chat about the red running to which I responded and that was it. No one responded, they were on about on completely unrelated to game topics, as usual.
Someone asked in faction chat if there are reds in maha again, the next day, I responded shortly after, about seeing a few reds in maha and mentioning it and said no one said anything. And, once again, no response.
Someone else asks about auction license and gets an immediate response and pretty sure this person, gave the license for free through mail. Feels totally off.
I've only met 1 person, who was in their 50s, and said hi and was being friendly/social and offered help. All in all, I feel like this server, is really unsocial. Sure, I might get suggestions about joining a guild, but I prefer a few good friends to hang than a large group of unknown personalities who are likely to bring drama and I myself prefer small guilds.
I know I'm level 30s and it took a bloody long time to get to the lvl as I don't quest much. I'm more into crafting. Just unlocked trading ability too, but is there a "better" more "social" server in NA or maybe in EU?
I'm not new to mmo but people socialized in the other games I played, this is different.:confused:
