New Crafting System

Hello Trion, firstly I would like to say that I really love your game and your efforts to make it better is really appreciated. Though many bumps along the road your game still enchanting many hearts. Anyway your new crafting system was not so much appreciated as it seems to lose the richness of the game in name of simplification. Making things easier for gamers is not always what we expect from a rpg game. You take out all the magic from the game and make it something sterile. The visualization of the crafting UI (folio) got harder to see and just like Lineage 2 did, you may be killing a beautiful crafting system. Please I may suggest to make it magical and involving, for example getting the designs from mobs drops, what would raise the value of the crafting instead of just simplify to make it easier for people who doesn't really love to craft. Thank you and much love to you all. <3

Finally hit Stage 4 in the Title System today, so I thought it was a good time to post a guide.

First off, the points granted for each title are as follows:

Basic:......6 points
Grand:.....9 points
Rare:.....14 points
Arcane:...21 points
Heroic:....30 points
Unique:...41 points
Celestial: 54 points
Divine:....69 points
Epic:.......86 points (this is the only one I'm not 100% sure of)

Next, the amount of experience points it takes to level up each stage:

Stage 1 >> Stage 2: 500 points
Stage 2 >> Stage 3: 500 points
Stage 3 >> Stage 4: 1,000 points
Stage 4 >> Stage 5: 1,000 points

This means that Stage 3 takes an accumulated 1,000 points to reach; Stage 4 takes an accumulated 2,000 points; and Stage 5 takes 3,000 points.

Challenge: Cordial Delivery - doesnt work any more

Discussed in the live chat on Jan 5th, but since nothing seems to get done unless there is a bug thread, here it is.

The quest, Challenge: Cordial Delivery, is not longer available at the quest giver. Originally you could pick it up and try it whenever. Tried to do it on my donkey many times. Now no quest, and this quest further blocks two other quests.

Now however it will not give a quest. Apparently one of the B200 cars will give you a quest to deliver a fresh Cordial to the quest giver which then opens up this quest. None of the other B200 cars, other cars, or steam bike gets this quest.

I believe it must be a bug to lock 3 fun quests and their titles to only a specific pay to win car.

Ok, this has probably already asked and answered, but i'll ask it again. With 3.5, we were given the ability to pick the item we want and no longer need to rely on rng to get an upgradeable item. However, the armourer's proc always gave you the upgradeable version. So, was the armourer's proc changed? If yes, what does it do now?

Hellswamp Quest Map Markers

When you have finished a few of the Hellswamp quests, all the excelmation points disappear from the map. You can see where to do quests that are "In-Prog" but not where to turn them in, or too pick up new quest lines. If you go into the quest log to use the map for direction, the map button is grayed out. I have several quests that I cannot find where to turn in, and I'm not sure I've completed the country. The map issue is only in Hellswamp.

More ships, And Ship-to-Ship combat

Hello All,
Now I know Trion has a habit of NEVER listening to the player base, I can tell right off the bat because all of the other tabs are Q and A.

None the less I wanted to post about this.

Let me start by saying out of all the MMO's that I have played this one has the best open ocean pvp ever. However I believe that there is a fundamental issue with ships and ship classes.

First off, I dislike how there are only 4* classifications of ships:
Merchant schooner
Small warship
Clipper
Medium warship

See my issue? Merchant schooner isn't a class of ship, its a ship on its own. This reoccurs for each kind of ship, ONE medium warship, and its a galleon- A GALLEON, that is wayyy to large (in the game and historically) to be the only ship in this category. This issue continues for Clipper ships aswell.

It seems like they left room for improvement but stopped.

I like the 2 kinds of warships: Eznan cutter and Lutesong Junk.
They each serve a similar purpose and the different designs suit different play styles. However what if there where more. These two would serve the frigate classification of small warship, another was a Man-o-War, and a Carrack.

As far as schooners go there is the Atlantic, Brig, Caravelle, and Gaff designs. All of these are used for different purposes.

And there are more then just a galleon, such as a Ship of the Line is another classic big ship with a bunch of cannons.

Small transport ships, while clippers are great, what if we had ships such as a Ketch or a Sloop.

Ships need to serve more purposes then to kill a ghost ship and board others to steal packs, they should play a significant roll, with more ship classes then fleet combat may arise, fighting over relic loot.

I know its a lot of words, but I hope that they expand on the great naval combat that they have, that needs to become more prevalent.

3 faction that should be all we have Rising on my server is way to powerful and low gear people are getting hammered left and right. Cant do anything to get to End Game cause camping. Im ok with raids and counter raids but come on and YES I AM PISSED cause the Pirate boss is Risings hunting ground cause if no one gets it we win West East Pirates that should be it:mad:

Feedback: my opinion on Charcoal Cargo packs and Alts.

First, let me just say this is my own feedback and opinion on how i view the situation. It is by no means meant to pick on anyone, flame anyone or start any trolling so please keep it civil. Thank you.

The problem:
I believe the problem a lot of players are having is the lack of Nuian(west) cargo packs at the Haranian(east) trade centers for turning in get charcoal. Some Players have been voicing about it in different social aspect, In game chats, Trion Twitch stream etc, etc. The players state that its because of the Multiple accounts and all the alts on those accounts that is causing the issue that there is never any Nuian Cargo packs on my server and possibly other servers. The Issue they state is that because of the 3rd family quest for charcoal pack turn in, many players keep rushing and hoarding all the nuian cargo packs that show up in east and turning a pack in for each alt they have thus leaving no packs for anyone else.

My Feedback and Opinion on this problem:

First let me state, I disagree with many of the players who state that it is due to the Alts that there is never any cargo to turn in for charcoal. I will agree that they do in fact add to the problem but they are not the sole cause of the problem and neither is the 3rd family quest asking to turn them. I shall explain below.


My Explanation and opinion about the true causes of the problem:

#1: The Cargo Pack: It currently takes 14 specialty + 8 fert/plaza + 4 larders to generate 2 cargo packs to be taken across to another continent. I have Characters on both east and west so as to maximize my pack running options. Every time I go to the trade centers I see cars, haulers and freighters constantly coming in with larders and fert packs and hardly any specialty packs. On my server (kraken) the west players seem to do make a bit more of an effort to run the specialty packs. However, on the east side Most players dont want to touch the specialty packs due to 3 factors, A) the labor cost, B) the Amount of ingredients required, C) "most important" the low pack payout .. Plain and simple most players refuse to touch the specialty packs due to the low payout vs what it takes to make them. So 90% of pack runners stick to Larders and fert packs. I myself the other day spent an entire day making and running specialty packs. I had 11 email pages of pack payments. I tried to get the pack % payout back over 120% for larders and it did not happen. Players have so many larder packs stocked up the % will NEVER see 125 to 130 % again. Why, because, just like what happened to me.. As soon as players see someone bring in even 1 or 2 loads of specialty packs everyone rushes to get more larders. I have larders i have been reseting for over a month now because i cant turn them in for over 120%.

With all that said, The problem is that NOT ENOUGH specialty packs are getting turned in to match the amount of larders and fert packs. Thus this drastically reduces the amount of Cargo Packs available to be turned in.

I recommend: fixing the specialty packs both ingredients needed and pay out rewards so that players will want to craft them and turn them in..

#2: Cargo pack costs: Pre 4.0 as players turned in cargo packs from across the ocean it increased the stock of packs waiting to be sold. It was 25g to 36g per nuian cargo pack and 75 labor and 1 cargo cert to purchase a cargo pack to be turned in for charcoal. After 4.0 came out, it is still the same system but 25g to 56g per purchase. It just that they changed the purchase costs and the amount of packs needed in stock to lower the purchase price for the same low charcoal pay outs.

It was commented that the change was done to help slow down the # of alts purchasing and stockpiling the charcoal cargo packs for the 3rd family daily quest. Yes i have seen it happen. I do indeed stockpile some cargo packs for my 1 main toon but that is it. I dont have the time, vocation, gold or labor to do that family quest on each of my toons. So i do the quest on 1 toon.

When i do make my rounds looking for nuian cargo packs to buy I constantly see PN red toons camping all 3 of the trade center ports. The Yny trade center is camped almost 24/7. Some east players get away with the some cargo and a lot of times in a P's green alt getting escorted out by the High gear scored PN's. I hardly see any nuian packs turned in at villi, some in austera but most are turned in at yny where the PN's rule the day. I think Yny trade center is most popular on kraken east due to BOTH pns basically are allied with the west. Thus using the YNY trade center allows them to control most of the cargo packs. This in my opinion is due to that everything craftable needs charcoal, the payouts for charcoal are low, and the cost of the charcoal on AH is expensive as all get out. I forgot to mention that the cargo packs still cost 75 labor to buy and 175 labor to turn in for both the quest and normal turn in.

This in my opinion is why they want the 3rd family quest removed. So they can go from having limited control over the charcoal cargo packs to having total control. Removal of the 3rd family quest would yes, allow the cargo packs to build up. But the High gears Guilds dont have to wait for a Peace time to buy the cargo packs. They can come in with force, buy ALL the cargo packs, turn them in and reap 100% of the rewards. Or have the quest removed so that there still wont be packs for peace time, which means that we potatos will be forced into even more pvp situations if we want to just hope to get 1 pack.

I have no recommendation on how to fix this part, due to I am in AA as a potato and enjoy the PVE aspect of the game and HATE getting forced to pvp when i dont want to.

#3 Cargo Pack Payouts: Pre 4.0 you could bring a cargo pack across the ocean for 65 ish gold payout that cost ya 32g to buy. Basically its a double yer money sceme. After 4.0 you get 8g to 15ish gold if you buy the pack when there is not many in stock. The more cargo packs in stock the cheaper the purchase price will be and your profits will go up. the sad news is, the Charcoal payouts are still the sad LOW payouts of 20 to 23 charcoal depending on where you took them. Which is also part of the reason Charcoal prices on the AH are so dang high all the time.



In Closing:

In Closing it is of my opinion and feedback that banning multiple accounts and alts will not help the over all situation. This will only reduce over all corporate profits and less money for the investors. I also Feel that removal of the 3rd family quest to turn in charcoal could be tweaked but NOT removed. For example, Say put a limit on the quest like the daily log in tracker. 1 Player per account can do the quest as only 1 player per account can click the daily tracker, Im willing to compromise a little. As this quest helps many pve players and removal of the quest would force us pve players into unwanted PVP situations. Thus again possibly chasing players away and again reducing profits for Trion and its investors. I would fix the specialty pack payouts so MORE players want to make them and turn them in. This change of reducing the amount of ingredients needed while increasing profits would go a great long way into helping reduce the issue. You want more cargo packs, Fix the specialty pack pay outs so players will do them as much as they make and turn in larders. All 3 categories add to the over all issue, not just the alts, not just the family quest but everything over all. So look at the big picture instead of blaming it on 1 aspect like a quest or the alts fault.

I do miss the Old days where we could stock pile our packs on plots along the coast line and sneak them across for stabilizers. Back then there was So many, many, many more options to leave and enter and it actually made the pvp aspect fun. Now with only 3 ports on each side, this limits the exit and leaving and makes it way to dang easy for the pn, reds, pack thieves, purplers and griefers to find the players running the packs. Made us EASY TARGETS, I do miss the old days when it was actually fun.

Feedback + Recomendation: Hay Bales and Worm Compost

Some of you may already know. I am playing Archeage as a PVER or professional Potation. I love this aspect of the game, most of the time.

The Issue:
It is of my opinion there is not enough Hay Production in Archeage. I try to grow and harvest crops accordingly so that i can run Larders and specialty packs. Although I have enough mats to craft over 2500 fert packs atm I dont make or run them. My issue is the lack of Hay. I plant all the hay/grain crops from quinoa to rice and everything in between. No matter what i plant I cant get enough hay to both satisfy my larder production needs and craft eco fuel both. There just isnt enough HAY!!!! Yes there is hay for sale on the Auction House. However, the current rates for Hay on the AH is bouncing from 28s ea to 40s each. Larders take 30 hay each which is a cost of 8g 40s per larder to 12g per larder. This is a huge cut into the profit of larder payouts. Then add in the further cost of purchasing hay from the AH to make eco fuel and the Larder value payouts is reduced even further.

My suggestion and request
Keep the hay drop rates as they are on the current grain crops. Please add a "Hay Bale" type of item that works just like the "Worm Compost". You could have it use the same purchase cost of the worm compost, the same labor cost and the same reward loot rates when harvesting as the worm compost. Just give it a Hay Bail icon as the seed icon, A standing Hay Bail bail as the item planted for appearance and instead of giving Bait worm it gives Hay Bales.

this would be greatly appreciated by many players.
