I've had this idea bouncing around for a bit now due to recent farming. If you will notice with the basic farm land you get a 8x8 or a 16x16 with this little scarecrow in it (on on the edge if you spring for a special one) but as you go further you end up with a large building either smack in the center or partially in one corner. Most of the larger options for farmers to grow on (gazebo 24x24, farmhouse 24x24, thatched upgrade 28x28, or the treehouse also 28x28) have a large amount of that space dominated by a building or something that you are unable to plant on a larger portion of the field.
What if they released a new farm land that was the size of a mansion plot (44x44) that they can call a Plantation. It would have a house that is about twice at wide as a regular thatch house (with some new design for it) that was flush with one side of the plot say in the middle of that side. This way you still have some room on either side of it to plant a few bundles and then you have the large open area in front of it in which to plant large amounts of bundles or even do some large tree farming.
The new Plantation would have similar taxes to that of a mansion and would have maybe double the build requirements of a thatched farmhouse (being twice as wide) this way the land requirements can still remain relatively balanced for such a large placement. It would give farmers a large place to grow in and wouldn't require us to have like 4-6 plots in order to have about the same planting area as one of these mansion sides areas.
